What to Expect

PLEASE NOTE

Remember, that each person will have a different experience!

Bring with you a physical form of photo ID that includes your birthdate on it. It must be present in order to get tattooed. There are NO exceptions.

WE DO NOT OFFER ANYTHING PIERCING RELATED.

Read our Policies page before your appointment.

HOW TO
PREPARE

The process begins the night before. You first want a good night’s sleep. Avoid any alcoholic beverages, as they thin your blood, which affects the tattoo process.

Day of, we recommend you have a good meal before getting a tattoo. It helps to have the extra strength and sugar in your system. Feel free to bring snacks to enjoy during breaks. We also provide free candy!

WHAT TO
WEAR

Dress appropriately for your tattoo placement - make sure your artist can access the area without you having to hold your clothing in place. If you are unsure what will work - ask your artist!

WHEN YOU
ARRIVE

You must fill out a consent form and we will copy your valid photo ID (must have birth date and photo). PHOTO ID MUST BE PHYSICALLY PRESENT OR YOU WILL NOT BE TATTOOED - NO EXCEPTIONS

At this point we will show you the design and make any necessary tweaks to the size and details.

Once we invite you back to the artist station, we will wash and shave the area and then stick the stencil on the skin and let it dry 10-20 minutes.

Then it’s go time!

While being tattooed, all you need to do is: Stay still, keep breathing, and stay as relaxed as possible. The more relaxed you are, the easier the tattoo will be for you. At any point if you need a break for any reason, let your artist know!

Afterwards, you will have guidelines to follow for the aftercare of your tattoo - please visit our Aftercare page for more information.

WILL IT
HURT?

Yes, tattoos hurt! Nothing crazy though! It feels more annoying than anything - like an itch you can’t scratch. Our best advice is to breathe evenly and to keep your body relaxed.  The more relaxed you are, the easier the experience will be for you.

Everyone will tell you their experience of different placements, BUT every body is different. Pain levels are based on nerve endings, which vary person-to-person. Places where you have more nerve endings (palms, inner arms and legs, anywhere you find ticklish) tend to be more sensitive.
